President Estrada threatens the Philippine Daily Inquirer Date and time posted: Nov. 20, 2000 @ 9:30 am Manila, Nov. 20 - Nanaig na naman ang pagka-macho ng Presidente nating malapit nang masibak. In light of the Inquirer's headline yesterday entitled "Loi's lot, Laarni's houses", napikon na si Erap and he went as far as saying that the Inquirer "should be taught a lesson". I can still remember the press conference he had with foreign journalists some weeks back at napikon din si gago nang tanungin na siya tungkol sa mga mansions ng 'sang dosena niyang mga kalaguyo at querida. Bilib din naman ako kay First Leydi Loi sa kanyang pagkamartyr sa asawa kahit kaliwa't kanang kahihiyan na ang inaabot nito. I guess Loi also has a lot to hide concerning irregularities on her part kaya kapit-tuko rin siya sa asawang ewan. I think President Estrada has to explain what he meant by saying that the Philippine Daily Inquirer "should be taught a lesson" for reporting the truth. He probably thinks he's still the top man in the country right now and continues to talk like he's king. ********** Si Brenda napikon Date and time posted: Nov. 20, 2000 @ 9:30 am Manila, Nov. 20 - Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago finally felt the sting of the people's rage when she predicted Erap's acquittal on the impeachment charges kahit 'di pa naguumpisa ang trial. Nakahiyang isipin dahil dati pa naman siyang judge kaya lang dala ng pagkasira-ulo niya eh kung anu-ano ang pinagsasabi sa media. In today's PDI issue sinabi ni Brenda na "opposition paper" daw ang Inquirer dahil nasa frontpage pa ang ginawang pagprepredict niya sa outcome ng impeachment trial in Erap's favor. Napikon din ang gago! Buti nga sa iyo! It's strange to note that Miriam was one of the staunchest critics of Erap some years back. She went as far as insulting the very person that was Erap. Ngayon nga naman eh marami yatang kamaganak niya ang binigyan ng position sa gobyerno ni Estrada kaya halos halikan ni Brenda ang mga mabahong paa ng presidente. Miriam, the people are still hoping that you'll judge the impeachment not by the rules of politics but by the rules of conscience.
